Incident Overview
The Spanish fishing vessel COMILLAS TERCERO caught fire approximately seven nautical miles north-northeast of Punta Pescador off eastern Cantabria, Spain on August 26, 2026. Both crew members abandoned the vessel and were rescued. One suffered facial burns and was evacuated for medical treatment. The fishing vessel later sank.
